Orientation

Three hours in Ikebukuro, 6000 JPY per person, with at least three people

For those of you fresh off the boat, finding your feet in Tokyo (the biggest, most high tech and most densely populated city on this planet) can be a challenge. We offer a three hour session that helps you get to grips with the basics of the city while wandering it. This session includes:

• Five-minute overview of Tokyo.
• Navigating the city.
• Planning an itenary on your budget.
• Places to go in and around Tokyo
• Events that will be happening during your stay
• Useful travel tips (e.g. how to order at restaurants without an English menu, where to ask for directions, etc.)
• Answer any questions or help with any problems you might be having

This isn't three hours in a classroom looking over handouts. We'll be taking you out into town to make sure that you get a chance to use all the information we give you in real-life situations. The Orientation can also be taken if you're planning to be here long-term. In any case, we will customise it to your specific needs.

Guide Service

As long as you want anywhere in the 23 wards, around 6000 JPY per hour, depending on situation. Please email or phone for a quote.

The guide service means having a native English speaking guide (with fluent Japanese spoken ability) accompanying you in Tokyo. If requested they can provide you with all of the information included in the orientation. Guides can and will:

• Lead tour groups anywhere from individuals to groups of twenty or more
• Prepare guests culturally or linguistically for interactions with Japanese people
• Act as interpreters when meeting Japanese friends.
• Help with basic tasks such as ordering at restaurants, boarding the right train, booking suitable accomodation, etc.
• Any combination of the above

Put simply, the guide service is for when you need someone that you can communicate with easily who knows what they're doing in Tokyo to help make your stay run smoothly.
